Wondering if someone can give me the name of and link to (if there is one for it) and where they bought it -- a mini- or purse-sized manicure kit -- like, maybe something with just clippers, an emery board, and maybe one other thing or something -- but not as big as the typical 5" long zip-around manicure cases. Just a little something to put in my purse for small touch-ups like in a small-/mini-sized case that keeps it together. (BTW, I already checked out Ms. Manicure...) Does anyone know of or own anything like this?

Each spa and salon is different. They will all have different definitions of a mini manicure. However, typically it is a manicure that takes half the time as a full manicure and involves hand soak, cuticle care, hand massage, lotion, and polish. Full manicures usually consist of a sea salt scrub or paraffin treatment in addition to the services mentioned above.

Anyone here work at one?
What Id like to know is why when Im dragging my two screaming toddlers through the mall do they think I have time to stop and try out their lotion or get a mini manicure or try out the new hair iron thingy? Are these ppl going to babysit while I get these mini spa treatments? I mean seriously,save it for the people w/o kids.
They drive me crazy. It's like they don't understand english.

l'm going to have a mini manicure & pedicure just want to know what to expect
My mother had a nail shop awhile back before opening a restaurant, and there was a lady that couldn't come to the nail shop so my mom had to send someone out there. Pedicures cost about 20$ back then, and the lady paid our tech 50$ all together. Pedicures now, I believe cost around the same so I don't think the price would be much of an difference. So probably around 60 -70$? It also depends on the area you live, because some areas charge more than others. Also if depends if the nail shop provide those type of services since taking the tech from the shop for about an however long it takes, they would probably make less.

As a surprise, I made appts for my mom & myself to each have a hot stone massage and mini facial, plus a pedicure for me and a manicure for her. Is there a standard amount or percentage to tip for these services? I am in Pittburgh if that makes a difference. Thanks!
While I stayed at Portofino Bay Resort in Orlando, I visited the Green Tree Spa. I had to ask because this was the first time that I had visited a spa. I was told that most clients tip 15-20%.
