What is the proper name (if there is one) of the acrylic paint that they use to make 3-D acrylic nail art?
Sep 06, 2008 by Sarah S | Posted in Other - Skin & Body
I'm not sure if its just called 3-D nail art paint, or whatever, but I want to know what its called.
And also, where might they sell it, and would it be expensive to buy?
I think this might be what you're on about, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pro-24-Colours-3D-Nail-Art-Glitter-Acrylic-Tip-Pen-New_W0QQitemZ160278697383QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item160278697383&_trkparms=72%3A1121%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Ebay is the only place I have seen them. I have bought them and used them and they're pretty good but not for on natural nails unless you have an hour spare to sit and let it set properly..it really does take that long before they are set hard enough not to smudge. Also, some of the colours just don't work well enough to do anything but dots with them...they won't drag into a shape etc.

Where can you get a striper brush and acrylic gels? (nail art)?
Jul 08, 2008 by Lana | Posted in Other - Beauty & Style
I'm new at nail art and I'd like to get started. Where can I get these items at a local store?
If you buy nail art brushes you pay through the nose, go to any art suppliers and you can buy a wide range of top quality artist brushes. By acrylic gels do you mean the paint? Nail art acrylic paint is no different to any acrylic paint so you can get that at the art shop too at around £1 a bottle. If you'd like to view some of my work mail me thru yahoo and I'll send a link to my photobucket site

Mar 26, 2007 by madaboutnails | Posted in Other - Beauty & Style
Would anyone know if you can use acrylic paints for your nail art? There are a no. of nail art products but I was wondering if the acrylic paints (usually found in bookstores or office supplies stores) are safe to be used on your nails.
not really, it peels off quickly with water, i suppose if you used a base coat, then the paint and then a top coat, it might work.. good luck!

Lippmann grew up in Galveston with no obligation for artists, and remembers a fifth-acclivity art course as “shabby.” Nothing about those initially years indicated Lippmann would become a huffy collector of watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings that would interest art museums.
Thirty pieces from Lippmann’s 40-year accumulation of several hundred paintings highlight the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art’s first parade at its new Frank Gehry-designed campus. The Biloxi evidence opens Friday evening with a art-lover’s talk.

“It becomes an fixed idea once you buy a painting and you in in love with it. You desire more. It becomes an obsession that you have to feed.”
Lippmann’s collecting passion wasn’t ignited until he moved to the Glide in the early 1960s, where he opened Peer royalty Jewelers in Gulfport. A few years later a national rear-traveling art evidence stopped at the diocese depot. Lippmann, interested, checked it out.
“The particular art association had a show in conjunction with the instruct, and that was the first time I saw an Emmitt Thames. I got interested in his toil and nothing would do until I had one of his paintings.”
